Types for Ni MH battery

Ni MH batteries can be classified according to different characteristics. In addition to standard or general type Ni MH 

batteries, there are high rate, high capacity, and low temperature and high temperature types in terms of special use 

effect. Generally speaking, the above types of Ni MH batteries will form a classification of Ni MH batteries.

Ⅰ. Standard type: the general standard of Ni MH battery, these standards are made up of the following characteristics: 

(1), the service life should be between 500~1000 times, (2), sealed and leakproof, the Ni MH battery becomes a maintenance 

free battery, and the safety of the battery is guaranteed effectively in the normal state of use and storage, (3), stable 

performance, In a wide range of humidity and temperature range, the battery internal resistance is low, the large current 

discharge still has a stable voltage, (4), the scope of application: emergency lights, cordless phones, portable 

telephone, remote control, electronic dictionary, toys, and so on, almost all portable source that without special 

requirements can be used.

Ⅱ. High capacity (S): in addition to the characteristics of the standard type battery, since it is a battery that made of 

high polymer materials with excellent performance, a strict production process is adopted, so it can provide a long time 

energy for the electrical appliances.  The main advantage of this kind of power battery is high capacity, although it can 

be shown for a long time life and stable performance, but from the different definition of t he life and capacity of the 

Ni MH battery or the high capacity, it is more suitable for its characteristics. The battery is mainly suitable for the 

power consumption digital camera.

Ⅲ. High rate nimh battery: This is the case that it can withstand large rate current, usually, high rate nickel hydrogen 

battery can be charged with the current of 1C, the battery can be full for more than one hour; in the discharge of the 5C 

current, the median voltage of the battery can reach more than 1.24V, and the output of the discharge can still reach more 

than 90%. Therefore, the battery has excellent fast charging and high current discharge performance, especially suitable 

for large current discharge, such as electric tools, large toys (car toys, remote control aircraft) and so on.

Ⅳ. Low temperature and high temperature type: they have excellent performance at low temperature and high temperature. 

They are only discharged when the main power supply fails. Their life is expressed by operating conditions, not the cycles 

of ordinary Ni MH batteries. The first condition of these operating conditions is the ambient temperature, other charging 

current and discharge. Frequency and discharge depth. These two batteries are mainly used in indicator lamps and emergency 

lights under low temperature and high temperature.

The above classification is based on the main performance of Ni MH batteries, and the same battery can have more than two
